When a business owner asks “How much does a logo cost?”, the problem they actually want to solve is often more than a graphic. Frequently, a company receives a single .ai vector graphic file and sends it to administration for a reception wall, to marketing for brochures and WeChat official account posts, and to developers for the website. The colors, fonts, and layouts produced by the three teams still vary widely, with no sign that they belong to the same company.

Logo

This is because a logo, a visual identity system (VI), and brand strategy address three different levels of brand building:

Scope

1. The boundaries of three levels of deliverables and the business stages they suit

Form UI

  1. Level 1: core logo and basic guidelines (Logo + Mini Guideline)
    • Deliverables: logo graphic, Chinese and English wordmarks, horizontal and vertical lockup guidelines, core brand color values (HEX / RGB / CMYK / Pantone), clear space, and prohibited uses (usually a concise 10–15-page guideline set).
    • Suitable situations: startup teams, standalone product/app projects, or rapid sub-brand incubation (such as our agile delivery model for NeighborBuy brand design), where a legally compliant and highly recognizable core visual anchor needs to be established quickly.
  2. Level 2: complete visual identity system (VI)
    • Deliverables: building on level 1, add brand supporting graphics (Supergraphic), a dedicated icon style, image and photography color-tone guidelines, and a typographic hierarchy, along with ready-to-use templates for frequently needed applications (business cards, staff badges, letterhead, corporate presentation PPT masters, social media header images, brochures, and guidelines for packaging or exhibition applications).
    • Suitable situations: growing businesses expanding their operations, B2B manufacturers, and technology companies that need sales, marketing, HR, and other departments to present a highly consistent visual identity externally.
  3. Level 3: brand positioning strategy and experience across all touchpoints (Strategy + VI + Digital)
    • Deliverables: early-stage competitive visual audits, the brand's core value proposition, definition of brand tone of voice, a full VI system, and integrated implementation of corporate brand website design and development.
    • Suitable situations: transformation and upgrading of established businesses, rebranding for overseas expansion, or flagship projects that need to substantially elevate their industry standing after funding.
